6Kibagata Park
A corridor of approximately 1,700 cherry trees decorating the naturally rich water town

This urban park makes use of the natural environment of Kibagata, the only remaining lagoon in the prefecture that has not been reclaimed. The North, South, West and Central Gardens have been developed around Kibagata, and are connected by a 6.4km long path.
Part of the garden path was originally a famous cherry blossom spot known as "Senbonzakura" (Senbonzakura), but in the fall of 2018, more trees were planted, connecting the entire path with a cherry blossom corridor. The total number of planted trees is approximately 1,700, the most of any park in the prefecture, making it a sight to behold. From the North Garden to the West Garden, you can see the beautiful scenery of Kibagata Lagoon, the rows of cherry trees, and Mt. Hakusan, making it a great photo spot. In the Central Garden, the "Kibagata Park Sakura Festival Walking" is held on the first Sunday of April, and the area is filled with excitement with local gourmet food and music performances. The trees are also lit up around the time of the festival, so you can enjoy the cherry blossoms at night.
