Enjoy a luxurious lunch filled with seasonal seafood while gazing at the sea
The popular sashimi set meal, packed with the bounty of the sea
Hachinohe is one of the leading port towns in the Tohoku region. We headed to a seafood restaurant along the coast looking for fresh seafood. When we arrived, we were surprised by the location. It is built on a rocky outcrop jutting out into the sea, and from the windows you can get a magnificent view of the ocean. The restaurant has spacious tatami seating, so even families with children can enjoy a meal in peace.
We recommend the "Sashimi Set Meal" which is packed with the bounty of the sea. You'll have a hard time deciding what to try first, with sashimi such as scallops and shrimp caught in the cove right in front of you, and live sea squirts. The "Raw Sea Urchin Rice Bowl" is also a popular dish. Both menus are only available from May 15th to the end of August each year, but there are also plenty of year-round menus such as "Seafood Rice Bowl" and "Grilled Fish Set Meal." "Iso Ramen (Salt Flavor)" and "Hama Ramen (Soy Sauce)" are popular among children.
