Three Unique Aspects of KAI Kinugawa<\/b><\/p>

  1. At KAI Kinugawa, the building is brand new, built-in 2015, and all rooms feature ornamentation designed to showcase the area\u2019s traditional craft arts, such as Mashiko-yaki pottery and Kurobane indigo dyeing.<\/span><\/li>
  2. Dinner is inspired by the Dragon God of Ryuohkyo with “Ryujin Steam” and “Ryujin Nabe”, which includes regional ingredients like Kanpyo (dried gourd) and makiyuba (rolled yuba)<\/span>.<\/li>
  3. The inner yard, which the establishment encircles, is plentiful with nature, greenery, and beautiful seasonal scenery for guests to enjoy at any time of the year.

    The Kinu River, flowing near the facility, is a clear stream sourced from the abundant mountains of Nikko-Shirane, Nantai, and Nasu. Its pure waters nurture river fish, which have long been valued as a precious source of protein in landlocked Tochigi Prefecture. Hunting was also prevalent in the mountainous areas, and wild birds, mountain vegetables in spring, and river fish caught in mountain streams have historically enriched the local food culture.<\/p>

    Inspired by this unique local food culture, we created the Duck and Eel Hot Pot, a luxurious dish that allows you to savor both plump and fragrant grilled eel, a bounty of the river, and the rich sweetness of high-quality duck meat, inspired by the hunting culture, all in one pot.
