From March 11, 2024 to May 31, "RISONARE in Atelier" will be held to meet colors and scents, feel shapes and touch nature. There will be a participatory gallery created by botanical artists active in Osaka, where you can feel the depth and charm of flowers, and a project to "talk with flowers" in the studio while deepening your own exploration together with art expert Atelierista. There will also be a workshop for adults to enjoy the fragrance of the flowers, leaves and fruits of plants. By becoming aware of new aspects of flowers and increasing your perspective, this event will lead you to take care of the earth, people and yourself in your life back from your trip.

Buds that endured the cold of winter sprout as the warmth of spring arrives, and a variety of plants bloom. In spring, when flowers bloom in a variety of colors and shapes, we want people to feel the beauty and richness of nature and the comfort of living with nature by looking at them slowly and carefully, so we decided to hold this event with the cooperation of companies in Osaka, a city of manufacturing.

Within Atelier, there is a gallery that inspires children to explore. Botanical artists who have seen flowers and plants from different angles create installations that take advantage of the warm, unobstructed light from the large windows. Not only are the flowers beautiful on their own, but the light and silhouette change their expression over time. We decided to create a participatory style to connect with children who come to Atelier. Children add petals and flower buds to the artist's work with their own free sensitivity. It is a gallery where you can enjoy and savor each moment depending on the color of the flowers as time passes, the different eyes of adults and children, and the way the light shines.

Within Atelier, we provide the tools and environment for children to explore, experiment, and express their interest in flowers and their wonder and beauty. Once they realize how interesting the scientific structure is, they can take apart the petals and take a closer look, or cut the stems to see what happens inside. Also, if they're interested in color, they can zoom in on the details with a microscope, or crush them to extract the color. They dig a little deeper than usual, and find a new side. This is a project where you can have a dialogue with flowers while deepening your own exploration with art expert Atelierista.

For adults as well as children to enjoy, we will be holding workshops for adults for a limited time during this event. Six kinds of essential oils (*1) such as citron, lavender and cypress leaves are prepared for the spring season. While listening to the characteristics of each fragrance and how to extract the essential oil, you can look inside yourself and enjoy each fragrance. From there, you can prepare the essential oil according to your mood and taste.
