Traffic Restrictions and Access Information for "Nara Marathon 2026"

The “Nara Marathon 2026” will take place on Sunday, December 13, 2026.

As the main venue for the marathon is “Rohto Field Nara (Nara City Konoike Athletics Stadium)” located near our museum, extensive traffic restrictions will be in effect on surrounding roads.
If you are planning to visit us on this day, please keep the following information in mind:

■ Traffic Impact & Access Notice

• During the event, traffic restrictions and parking limitations will be enforced. Direct bus services and local bus lines to our museum will also be suspended during the restricted hours.
• From 8:30 AM to 9:20 AM on Sunday, December 13, roads along the route connecting the event venue and our museum will be completely closed to traffic.
• Even after the road closures are lifted, reservation checks may be required upon entry, which could result in longer waiting times than usual.
• We recommend walking to the museum from JR Nara Station or Kintetsu-Nara Station.
