Opening Schedule for June 3
As of today, June 1, we plan to operate as usual on Wednesday, June 3. However, due to the approaching typhoon, we will make operational decisions based on the weather warnings in Nara City as follows:
1. Operational Criteria (June 3)
■ Emergency Warning (Tokubetsu Keiho) in Nara City
In effect at 8:00 AM: Closed all day
Issued during opening hours: Closed immediately
■ Storm Warning (Bofu Keiho) in Nara City
In effect at 8:00 AM: Closed until 2:00 PM (14:00)
Lifted by 11:00 AM: Open from 2:00 PM (14:00)
Still in effect at 11:00 AM: Closed all day
Issued during opening hours: Closed immediately
*Please note that we may decide to close the museum in advance based on early warning information and potential public transportation suspensions (planned outages).
2. Refunds and Cancellations
■ If the museum is temporarily closed: Your pre-purchased tickets will be refunded automatically.
No action is required on your part.
■ If you cannot visit due to transportation disruptions (while the museum is open):
Cancellations by June 2 (the day before): No cancellation fee. Please complete the cancellation process yourself via your account.
Sudden cancellations on June 3 (the day of): Handling details will be announced on this page as soon as they are determined.
*Note: If you have a reservation for the “Central Guardhouse Tour,” we kindly ask you to cancel it yourself via your account.
