13:00 New York Lamp Museum & Flower Garden
Antique Tiffany lamps with a charming glow are on display

Located near the center of the promenade at Jogasaki Coast in the eastern part of the Izu Peninsula, this is a spot where you can enjoy art and flowers. Just past the entrance you will be greeted by a spacious flower garden filled with seasonal flowers in full bloom. Inside the museum you will find a world filled with fantastical sparkle, lined with Tiffany lamps, which were at the height of their popularity in America about 120 years ago. The stained glass table lamps, floor lamps and window panels, which depict flowers, creatures and landscapes with delicate pieces of colored glass, are so beautiful that you will lose track of time as you gaze upon them.
The museum annex also has a café with terrace seating with an ocean view, where you can enjoy a luxurious lunch or coffee break in a resort atmosphere.

14:00 Jogasaki Coast Picnic Course
A walking trail where you can encounter magnificent views of the cliffs

From the entrance on the left side of the New York Lamp Museum & Flower Garden, head to the hiking trail where you can approach the suspension bridge while enjoying the sound of the ocean and forest bathing. You can take a light and refreshing stroll while catching a glimpse of the complex coastline and cliffs formed by the eruption of Mt. Omuro 4,000 years ago. There is a "walking course" (about 40 minutes one way) that makes use of the terrain, but we recommend the relatively easy "forest course" (about 10 minutes one way). The destination, Kadowaki Suspension Bridge, is 48 meters long and 23 meters high, and offers a spectacular view of the rough waves below. If the weather is good, you can clearly see Oshima in the distance in the ocean. There are many places on the walking path where the footing is poor, so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes.

An exhilarating boardwalk built on the mountaintop that seems to lead to the sea and sky

Opened in spring 2021, this loop-shaped boardwalk makes use of the natural undulations of the summit of Mt. Komuro. It was named "MISORA" because it offers views of the majestic sea (UMI) and sky (SORA) at the same time. The 166.3m-long wooden promenade has gained a reputation for allowing you to take stunning photos from any angle or direction, and has become a very popular stop-off spot.
The cafe located under the boardwalk sells original drinks inspired by the geological layers of the Izu Peninsula, which is a geopark. In addition, Izu and Shuzenji craft beers are perfect as souvenirs. There is also a glass-enclosed deck exclusively for cafe patrons, which is also a great photo spot.
