The Makiminato branch in particular has attracted attention as a photo spot with its retro sign. If you have children who love to play, the outdoor parasol seats, which are located in the "Playland" equipped with play equipment and a water play area, are convenient. You can also use the ordering machine for the parasol seats, and they will bring your order to your seat and you can even pay the bill.

Learn about pineapples, eat them, and buy some as souvenirs

This is a theme park that is all about pineapples, cultivating about 120 kinds of pineapples. Pineapples and other tropical plants grow in abundance, creating a subtropical jungle-like space. The pineapple-themed cart, "Pineapple Go," is a convenient way to get around the park.
After your cart ride, take a stroll through the botanical gardens. There are plenty of photo spots, including a large pineapple monument and a shisa lion. On the "Dinosaur Adventure Tour," children and adults alike will be thrilled by the impressive dinosaurs.
There are also many places to eat and drink, offering fresh pineapple sticks, freshly squeezed juice, and a wide variety of original pineapple dishes. A popular souvenir is the "Pineapple Castella."

Okinawa soba made with the bounty of Iheya Island, which is rich in seafood and mountain produce.

This Okinawa soba restaurant is run by the owner and his family, who are from Iheya Island, the northernmost island of Okinawa Prefecture. The soba noodles, which are made with an abundance of ingredients from Iheya Island, are a hot topic, and the restaurant is always crowded with customers.
The recommended dish is the luxurious "Sachi-chan Soba" topped with pork ribs, pork belly meat, and cartilage sujika. Sujika is generally made from salted pork, but here it is made in-house using cartilage. The clear soup made from pork bones and bonito stock is so flavorful that everyone drinks it all up. You can choose from two types of noodles: "Shiromen" and "Mozukumen" made with mozuku seaweed from Iheya Island.
The restaurant, which is known for its warm hospitality, is popular with families and offers "children's soba" that is half the normal size. Another attraction is that it has tatami seating, which is great for families with children.

This extremely popular aquarium is located inside the Okinawa Memorial National Government Park (Ocean Expo Park) in Motobu Town. You can enjoy the immersive sight of about 710 species of creatures, including the whale shark, the largest fish in the world, and colorful tropical fish. What's great for those with infants and small children is the free stroller rental (no reservations accepted), which is available at each gate in the park (the rental office closest to the aquarium is on the first floor of the P7 Parking). The aquarium is equipped with ramps, so you can move around with a stroller.
Don't miss the outdoor Property either. The popular "Dolphin Show" will have even children glued to their screens as the dolphins perform tricks such as jumping. The "Blue Manta" shop has a wide selection of original products, including stuffed toys, miscellaneous goods, and sweets, all of which are based on sea creatures. There are plenty of cute items that you'll want to take home.

A roadside station where you can find all the delicious things of Yanbaru

Located along National Route 58 in Nago City, this is Okinawa Prefecture's first roadside station. Inside the store, you'll find a wide selection of local seasonal produce, including specialty products from 12 municipalities in Yanbaru, the northern part of Okinawa's main island. The fruits and vegetables that arrive every day, such as mangoes and pineapples in the summer and tankan in the winter, are extremely fresh. If you ask Staff/staff member at the produce section, they will teach you how to cook unfamiliar ingredients such as island vegetables.
The chinsuko and drop chocolates, which feature the official mascot "Pitubu" on the packaging, are popular among children. You can enjoy tacos and steaks at the food court. There are also plenty of takeout gourmet foods, such as Okinawa's specialty "pork egg rice balls," Okinawan tempura such as mozuku seaweed tempura, and sata andagi.

This pancake specialty shop is open from 7am and has long lines. The limited-edition "Nuts Nuts Pancake" is a dish with plenty of original nut sauce, garnished with chopped macadamia nuts and bananas. The sauce is not overly sweet, and has a refined taste, unlike what you would expect from its appearance. It has a light finish, so you won't get bored until the last bite. The pancake batter uses buttermilk, which is hard to find in Japan, giving it a fluffy yet chewy texture. A great value drink set can be added to the pancake menu.

Naha Airport is the gateway to Okinawa and boasts one of the highest passenger numbers of any airport in Japan. After checking in and dropping off your luggage, take a look around the airport. The rows of souvenir shops sell everything from sweets and fruit to crafts, including sweets that are only available at the airport. There are also plenty of Dining Area offering Okinawan cuisine and sushi. The food court offers set meals and noodles, as well as snacks and children's menus, making it convenient for families.
Another great feature for those traveling with infants is that each floor has a nursing room with a diaper changing station. There is also a kids' space on the second floor, so children won't get bored. There are commemorative stamps at the information desks on the first to third floors, so why not take one as a memento of your trip?
