Located in front of the Nagomi Tower, Dining Area is greeted by an arch of bougainvillea. In addition to the specialty Taketomi soba and various set meals, there is also a wide selection of a la carte dishes that go well with alcohol. The recommended "Deep-fried Taketomi Island Tiger Prawns" are procured directly from shrimp farms on Taketomi Island, so the size of the shrimp varies depending on the season, and are available from 300 yen per shrimp. The firm and plump Tiger Prawns are packed with sweetness and flavor. The bright orange color of the "Mango Chuhai" creates a tropical mood.

In the Taketomi Island dialect, "Tedun" means Taketomi and "Shidame" means snail. The restaurant was named so that customers could relax and unwind. Located near the West Pier, Dining Area is marked by a large red roofing tile. Drinkers will be delighted with the "Value Set (changes daily)" which comes with a mug of drink and three types of snacks. The snacks include beautifully presented squid with vinegared miso, pickled gurukun nanban, papaya with sweet and sour sauce, and potato and macaroni salad, and the drinks are also available in a range of beers and island sakes.
There are also other dishes on the menu that go perfectly with alcohol, including dishes made with Yaeyama ingredients such as "Seika Chikiage and Island Chili Sausage" and "Gurkun Tatsuta-age."
Okinawan folk songs play in the bright atmosphere of the restaurant, helping to get you in the mood for travel.

A long-established soba restaurant popular for its traditional Yaeyama soba and soki soba. For dinner, be sure to try a dish that goes well with alcohol. "Tofu Chanpuru" made with fresh vegetables and island tofu from Taketomi Island is even more delicious with a sprinkle of "Piyashi" (island pepper) with a spicy tropical aroma.
The "Mozuku Tempura" is made with mozuku seaweed that the owner's family harvests at the sea in April and May, when it is in season. The "Fruit Liquor and Soda Mix - Shikwasha" is popular for its refreshing aroma and smooth taste, and is mixed with small pieces of fruit, giving it a nice texture.

4Folk Craft Cafe Maki

The popular menu item at this shop is the "Goya Noodle Yakisoba" (fried noodles with bitter melon), which is made with bright green noodles kneaded with bitter melon, which is rich in nutrients such as vitamin C and folic acid. Dining Area is located near Taketomi Post Office. The recommended dish is the oven-grilled cartilage soki, which is stewed for a day and left overnight before being served. The sweet and spicy stewed soft soki is paired with the rich cheese and sour mustard to whet your appetite.
"Recommended Seafood" includes fried Taketomi Island prawns, squid, and Okinawa's prefectural fish, Gurukun, all with a crispy texture. The homemade tartar sauce has a mellow taste and goes perfectly with seafood. Awamori chuhai with shikuwasa and passion fruit is also popular.
