What are some recommended spots in the Kirishima area?: This is Shiroyama Park.
There are many castle parks in Kagoshima, but the one in the Kirishima area has the best location, with views of Sakurajima and Kirishima city from the top of a hill.

Please tell us about some hidden spots that you know because you live there.: I recommend "Senriga Falls" located a short drive uphill from Hoshino Resorts KAI Kirishima. There is a large waterfall in a place that makes you wonder "Is there really a waterfall in a place like this?" When I visited for the first time, I was half-believing and half-hearted as I walked along the road. It feels like I've wandered into the world of a Ghibli film.
You'll have to wait until you get there to find out what the path to the waterfall is like...!

What is your most memorable trip?: Restaurant I went to in my hometown of Kagoshima a few years ago has since moved to Kyoto, and I really wanted to try the food there again, so I went there by myself.
Not only the presentation of the food but also the pairings have been improved, and I was impressed by the non-alcoholic pairings. I was able to talk to the chef and was very satisfied with not only my five senses but my sixth sense.

What do you do on your days off?: Once a month, I go back to my hometown (Kasasa Town) at the tip of Kagoshima Prefecture and drive around the town. There are many spots overlooking the ocean, and watching the sun sink into the horizon at dusk without thinking about anything else has a mysterious effect of resetting my mind.

Is there anything you always bring with you on your travels?: Earphones are essential. I recently switched to wireless earphones. It's great to listen to my favorite music while traveling and looking at the scenery. Even after the trip is over, I can reminisce about the trip by playing the songs I listened to at that time.
