Bridging Inside and Outside via the Power of Art

This exhibition showcases artistic expressions created within the prison environment, aiming for dialogue and recovery that transcend boundaries between inside/outside and victim/perpetrator.

The artwork and letters displayed here were created by people living behind bars, hoping their words would reach “someone.” It is only through your presence as a reader that these expressions become a dialogue. After viewing, we invite you to leave the words in your heart in the mailbox located in the “Room of Connections” (Musubi no Haya). That single card may cross walls, reach someone, and mark a new beginning. We look forward to welcoming you here, at this place where those inside and outside the prison can meet anew.
