1Funachu, Hanakawado, Asakusa
A colorful bento box filled with three types of yakitori and wild vegetables

This eel and yakitori restaurant opened in 2018, inheriting the taste of the main store "Funachu" which was founded in 1946 (Showa 21).Lunch boxTake-out is also available.Yes, it is possible.
We recommend:The Charcoal Grilled Yakitori and Wild Vegetable Bento comes with breast meat, yakitori, meatballs, and wild vegetables. The yakitori is made with Miyazaki Prefecture's famous Nichinan chicken, carefully grilled over charcoal, and is topped with a well-balanced assortment of simmered and pickled wild vegetables such as wasabi greens and fern, making this a very satisfying bento.
Charcoal-grilled skewers of yakitori are also available for takeout, starting from a single skewer.

After the war, Funachu started as a river fish shop that mainly handled loaches and eels. In the winter, when river fish cannot be caught, the store started selling yakitori, skewered chicken grilled over charcoal. This proved popular, and eels and yakitori became its signature products. The founder who created yakitori is known as the "father of yakitori."
In addition to bento boxes, takeout options include skewers of large-cut thigh meat, leek meat, and chicken wings.birdYou can even order just one skewer. You can casually enjoy yakitori from this long-established restaurant while strolling around Asakusa.

"Fresh Cream Cornet" is popular among a wide range of generations

Founded in 1950, this local bakery has been loved by generations. Their popular product, the Fresh Cream Cornet, is a light and fluffy bread filled with lightly sweetened fresh cream. 5High-end Inari sushi specialty store Fukujuya
Enjoy the new taste of our specially made inari sushi

This inari sushi specialty store was founded in 1922 (Taisho 11). Its signature product is "Inari sushi," which comes in two varieties: pickled lotus and red pickled ginger. The pickled lotus inari is wrapped inside deep-fried tofu and roasted until fragrant.
"Sweet Potato Inari" is a new Asakusa specialty that contains sweet potato instead of vinegared rice. By using two types of sweet potato, Naruto Kintoki and Beni Azuma, in different cooking methods, the sweetness and fluffy texture of the sweet potato is expressed. To finish, the surface is coated in a crepe-like coating and topped with plenty of sesame seeds. This is a reservation-only item.
Delivering modern flavors while respecting tradition

After going out of business, the restaurant reopened in 2020. Based on the techniques passed down from generation to generation, the inari sushi has been reborn to suit the times. The broth has been reconstructed to have a light, timeless flavor so as not to ruin the original soybean flavor of the fried tofu. Two types of fried tofu are used, one from Niigata Prefecture and one from Saitama Prefecture, for light and one for sweet products. The method of turning the fried tofu inside out and wrapping it around the vinegared rice has remained unchanged since the restaurant first opened, expressing the restaurant's desire to have customers return. Why not try some of the gorgeous inari sushi, which looks like a blooming flower, as a souvenir from Asakusa?
