A long-established fast food restaurant with an old American feel

Founded in California, USA in 1919, the first store opened in Okinawa in 1963 (Showa 38). The only store in Japan is in Okinawa, and the locals affectionately call it "Ender." The Makiminato store along National Route 58 is popular as a photo spot with its retro sign. There is seating inside the store and outdoor umbrella seats, and you can also use the drive-in option to order and eat in your car.
The specialty is the "A&W Burger" named after the restaurant. It is a beef patty topped with brown sugar pepper pork, fried onions, and cream cheese, making it both impactful and tasty. We recommend a combo with "Root Beer," a non-alcoholic drink made with about 14 kinds of herbs, and "Super Fries."

Feel like you're overseas in this American-style resort town

An amusement town that spreads along the west coast of Chatan Town in the central part of Okinawa's main island. The town was built when the US military base was returned, and everything is colorful and pop. The streets are reminiscent of the west coast of America, and there are a variety of stores and Property such as shops, Restaurant, cafes, and movie theaters.
Located in the center of town is American Depot, a select shop that sells clothing and miscellaneous goods imported directly from the United States. There is also a wide selection of second-hand clothing, so it would be fun to search for rare items. The flagship store in the Depot Island area, Depot Island, and Depot Central, which opened in 2020, are treasure troves of photo spots, dotted with vivid wall art and objects. Try to find them as you wander around the shops.

In addition to swimming, you can also relax in the gazebo or enjoy a drink on a deck chair in the open-air outdoor pool. After sunset, the pool is lit up and transformed into a night pool. You can relax your body and mind in the barrel sauna next to the pool building.

Paninos made with pizza dough include "Prosciutto Salad," made with freshly sliced ham, and "Tropical Fruit," made with cream topped with tropical fruits. It's up to you whether you enjoy it in the cafe, Tamariba, or Guest room. Takeout is also recommended for breakfast on the beach.

10:00 Kouri Island

An exhilarating drive to the photogenic "Island of Love"

Driving across the bridge that stretches in a straight line to this island floating in the emerald green sea in the northern part of Okinawa's main island feels like flying over the sea. The island, which is about 6km in circumference, is dotted with leisure spots such as beaches and observation decks, and there are plenty of marine Activity to enjoy. Kouri Beach, located at the entrance to the island, is a white sand beach with crystal clear water. Nearby is Kouri Fureai Hiroba, which has toilets and showers, as well as shops and restaurants selling local products from the island.
Kouri Island is known as the "Island of Love" because of the Okinawan version of the Adam and Eve legend. The island is also known as the "Island of Love" because of the "Heart Rock" on the northern side of Teenu Beach, where two overlapping rocks form a heart.

Located on a hill in Motobu Town, this cafe has an excellent location overlooking the sea. Once you pass through a garden filled with subtropical plants, a spectacular panoramic view will catch your eye. The view of the three islands of Sesoko Island, Minna Island, and Ie Island will make you cheer with joy. Of the indoor and outdoor seats, the outdoor seats equipped with hammocks are the most popular. It's so comfortable that you might just fall asleep.
The Asian-style food uses seasonal produce, including ingredients from Okinawa. The "Yanbaru Herb Chicken Gapao Rice" is a colorful dish made with juicy chicken and herbs such as basil and shiso leaves.
The resort is open until sunset, and the sunset is particularly beautiful. You can spend a relaxing and fulfilling time in Okinawa.

14:30 Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium

Enter the world of Okinawa's diverse sea creatures

At the aquarium in the Okinawa Commemorative National Government Park (Ocean Expo Park) in Motobu Town, you can find a wide variety of sea creatures, about 710 kinds. The tour route from the entrance on the third floor down to the first floor is structured like diving from shallow waters to the deep sea, allowing you to experience the Okinawan sea in a very realistic way.
The Coral Sea has no roof and is bathed in natural light, displaying around 80 different kinds of coral. In the Tropical Fish Sea, you can relax and enjoy the colorful fish, such as snappers and clownfish, that live in the coral reefs. The main attraction is the Kuroshio Sea, one of the world's largest aquariums. It is a spectacular sight to see whale sharks and manta rays swimming leisurely. There is plenty to see, including the Deep Sea, which takes you into a mysterious world more than 200 meters deep, so take your time to explore.

18:00 Emerald Beach

Watch the sunset on a coral sand beach

If you walk along the coastal promenade from the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, you will come across a beach with a vivid contrast between the emerald green ocean and the white sand. Due to the good quality of the water, it was selected as one of the "Top 100 Swimming Beaches" by the Ministry of the Environment in 2006, and is crowded with beachgoers during the swimming season. There are three beaches, "Play Beach," "Relaxation Beach," and "View Beach," and it is fun to stroll around. The view of Ie Island beyond the majestic ocean is also attractive. The sight of the sun setting over the horizon, bathing the whole area in red, is also breathtakingly beautiful.
The Bise Fukugi Tree Line near the beach is a photo spot lined with about 20,000 Fukugi trees. Why not visit it as well?

20:30 Okinawa Dining Beach House

Enjoy super fresh seafood while gazing at the ocean right in front of you

This popular izakaya has a large window overlooking the ocean. From standard dishes such as the hearty "fried gurukun" and the irresistibly crunchy "sea grapes" to more unusual local dishes, they have a wide selection of Okinawan cuisine that are perfect for drinking. There is a fish tank inside the restaurant, so you can eat freshly caught seafood. Depending on the day's stock, you can choose from Okinawa's unique seafood such as blue parrot fish, luminous clams, and giant clams, as well as spiny lobsters.

Relaxing in the morning before check-out

After a good night's sleep, you'll want to relax the next morning. Check-out is at 11:00, so it's okay to wake up a little later. The kitchen is also convenient for when you want to enjoy a drink or breakfast in the room. You can make the most of your time.

11:10 Nakamura Soba

A specialty store for "Asah Soba" where the aroma of the seashore will whet your appetite

This is a restaurant where you can enjoy unique Okinawa soba noodles made with seaweed called "Asa" in Okinawa. The homemade thin noodles, kneaded with plenty of A-rank seaweed produced in the prefecture, which is characterized by its smooth texture, have a strong texture and go well with the fragrant bonito-based soup. The kamaboko, which is kneaded with Asa like the noodles, and the tender pork belly seasoned with a sweet and spicy secret sauce that has been added to since the restaurant opened, are full of toppings that are carefully selected. It is a healthy yet satisfying bowl of noodles.

12:30 Kokusai Street

A tourist staple: Naha's main street

This is the largest downtown area in Okinawa's prefectural capital, Naha City, and is one of Okinawa's most famous streets. Souvenir shops, restaurants, department stores, and hotels line the 1.6km street, which is bustling with tourists. The palm trees along the road also add to the tropical atmosphere. All sorts of Okinawan specialties and the latest shops are gathered here, so you'll be excited just walking around, let alone choosing souvenirs. Every Sunday from 12:00 to 18:00, the "Transit Mile" is held, where pedestrians have priority. A variety of events, including street performances and live shows, are popular.
Be sure to check out the various backstreets that extend from Kokusai-dori. You'll encounter charming scenery, including alleyways with retro streetscapes and shopping arcades.

16:00 Umikaji Terrace, Senaga Island

An island resort with a Southern European-style townscape

A resort mall located on the west coast of Senaga Island, which is connected to the main island of Okinawa by an oversea road. The white buildings lined up in a stepped pattern facing the blue sea are a spectacular sight, and are likened to a World Heritage Site known as the "Amalfi of Japan." Nearly 50 stores are gathered here, offering local delicacies such as Okinawa soba and taco rice, gelato and sweets made with Okinawan fruits, miscellaneous goods and accessories, and more. After walking around the shops, take a break in the free foot bath. Warming up in the natural hot spring that springs from 1,000 meters underground will blow away all your fatigue before you know it.
Umikaji Terrace has plenty of photo spots, including trick art and monuments. Why not take some time to make some great memories at the end of your trip?
