11:30 Confectionery Hiyoshi
Original sweets made by a first-class Japanese confectioner, so delicious they sell out fast

This Japanese sweets shop has been in business for over 60 years. The colorful Japanese sweets made by the second-generation owner to match the seasons and events are very popular, and popular flavors often sell out before lunchtime. The signature product, which may seem surprising for a Japanese sweets shop, is the "crispy Danish." It is a dessert with a new texture that mixes the best of both Japan and the West, invented by the owner, who is a first-class Japanese sweets craftsman but also has a deep knowledge of Western sweets. The key is the fresh cream mixed with red bean paste to add a Japanese flavor and sweetness. It is squeezed into the Danish after an order is received, so you can enjoy the exquisite crispness.
They also have standard items such as dango, ohagi, and red rice, so it's no wonder they have so many regular customers. If you make a reservation by phone when you visit, you can purchase your order without waiting.

Freshly roasted coffee beans with a sharp flavor are a great souvenir to take home.

"Cafe Roasterei" means "coffee roaster". It has been loved by locals for a long time since it was opened by the owner from Ito City about 30 years ago. They are particular about purchasing high-quality raw beans and carefully hand-picking (removing defective beans), and they adjust the roasting level according to the condition and characteristics of the beans. They roast them in four stages, from light to dark roast. The roasted beans, all made by hand, are plump, beautiful, and uniform in size. There are about 20 types of coffee, including straight and blended, lined up in the store, so you can have fun choosing while consulting with the friendly owner. They also package cup coffee, which is perfect as a souvenir for acquaintances, on the spot, instead of preparing it in advance (if you have a large number of them, you can order by phone and purchase without waiting).
