1Doremo Tao
Pancakes that melt in your mouth like light snow

This is a concept store for LeTAO, a Western confectionery shop famous for its cheesecake. One of the two buildings is a cafe, while the other is a shop selling cakes, bread, and other items. The cafe's most popular menu item is their delicious pancakes, made with cream cheese and ricotta cheese added to the batter and baked until fluffy. They have a soft texture that melts in your mouth. In addition to the "plain" version, which is served with refreshing Biei milk ice cream, maple syrup, and original fresh cream, they also offer pancakes with fruit combinations and seasonal specials. They also have a wide variety of other menu items, including parfaits and fresh pasta.
LeTAO's only bakery

The shop building is home to LeTAO's only bakery, where you can purchase homemade bread made with natural yeast from Shirakaba Tsubaki. In addition to bread, cakes, chocolates, baked goods and more are also sold, making it a great place to pick up souvenirs. You can also buy freshly made "Double Fromage," a hugely popular mail-order cheesecake. In the summer, the original soft serve ice cream is popular, and the "Cinq Fromage," made with five types of cheese, is a must-try.

2Nanairo
A beloved local patisserie

This cake shop blends in with the residential area. The shop is lined with colorful cakes, macarons, jellies, baked goods, and more. The most popular item is the "Tomato Tama Pudding." "Tomato Tama" is made from eggs from chickens raised on tomatoes produced in Chitose, and is rich in carotene, low in fat and calories. The pudding made with these eggs is not only healthy for your body, but is also popular for its smooth texture.
Another popular item is the "Freshly Baked Cheese," a crispy pie cake baked with eggs, cheese, and milk from Hokkaido. Both are classic sweets that locals buy repeatedly.
The soft serve ice cream and smoothies made in-store are also popular.

Some sweets are made on the spot, as they want to serve them as fresh as possible. The cream puffs are made with lightly sweetened cream, which is placed in a crispy puff pastry shell, once an order is placed. They also sell drinks such as tapioca cafe au lait, made with tapioca boiled on the spot, and smoothies made with locally grown vegetables and fruits. In the summer, many customers visit just to enjoy the soft serve ice cream.
This shop is so beloved by local regulars that there are days when the display case is empty by the evening.

3Morimoto Main Store
A beloved sweet made with haskap

This is a long-established Japanese and Western confectionery shop with stores in major cities in Hokkaido, including Hakodate, Asahikawa, Otaru, and Sapporo. The main store is in Chitose City, and celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2019. Among their wide range of products, one of their long-selling items is "Haskap Jewelry." This confectionery is made by making jam from haskap fruit, which is highly nutritious and said to be an "elixir of immortality and longevity," and sandwiching it with butter cream between thin cookies. As its name suggests, it is beautiful like jewelry, with a sweet and sour delicate taste. It continues to be a popular souvenir.
A wide selection of original and tempting sweets

Chitose City was once home to many cranes, and is said to have been named after the historical proverb "cranes live for a thousand years." The famous confection "Yukizuru" was created with the image of a crane landing in mind. It is characterized by its soft and gentle taste, with butter cream and haskap cream sandwiched between a smooth-melting bouche. There are also many other sweets perfect for takeaway, such as jellies, soufflés, dorayaki, and castella.

4GELATERIA e BAR Gigi
Gelato made with raw milk delivered directly from the farm

Located in Eniwa City, next to Chitose City, Scherato is the first name that comes to mind when talking about sweets. The raw milk used is delivered directly every day from Mizumoto Farm in Eniwa City, which has been certified as free-range. The gelato is made using low-temperature pasteurization to preserve the original flavor of the raw milk. There are always more than 10 flavors available, ranging from the simple "Delicious Milk" to "Hazelnut," "Sicilian Pistachio," and "Eniwa-grown Ebisu Pumpkin." In addition to cups and cones, you can also choose hand-rolled waffles for an additional 100 yen, and "Brigella," a brioche sandwich with gelato, for an additional 150 yen.
Pancakes with gelato are also delicious

In addition to gelato, you can also get gelato-filled crepes and drinks such as cappuccinos to take away. There is also an eat-in menu, with the most popular items being pancakes made with flour from Hokkaido. Enjoy freshly made, piping hot pancakes with your choice of gelato. You can also enjoy lunches such as "panino," an Italian fast food made by sandwiching prosciutto and mozzarella between your choice of bread.

5Bakers Terrace 689
The main attraction at the cafe is the hearty parfait

This bakery shop stands quietly facing a pasture. While the bread and cakes are popular, the highlight is the voluminous and reasonably priced parfait served in a 20cm-tall glass at the attached cafe. The most popular item is the "Berry Berry," made with cereal and sponge topped with fresh cream, ice cream, and five kinds of berries. Other standard menu items include "Caramel Banana Nuts" and "Strawberry Milk," as well as the limited-time "Melon Melon."
Turning locally produced ingredients into delicious sweets

The bread and petit gateaux (cakes) are made with carefully selected ingredients such as wheat, butter, sugar, and milk, with an emphasis on local production and consumption. The "Enami Roll", named after the place where the store is located, is a roll cake made with plenty of fresh cream made from ingredients from Hokkaido. Other popular items include Mont Blanc and puddings made with Ebisu pumpkin, a specialty of Eniwa City. In addition to baked goods and cakes, the bread fillings are all handmade. If you order a drink, you can also enjoy the bread and cakes sold at the cafe.

The bean paste is delicious because it is directly managed by a bean paste manufacturer.

This taiyaki shop is directly managed by Tanaka Seian (headquarters: Tokyo), which has a factory in Chitose City. The specialty is their bean paste. Made with Hokkaido red beans and sugar, the bean paste has a light sweetness that goes well with the light and crispy skin. In addition to plain red bean paste, there are five types in total: low-sugar red bean paste, smooth red bean paste, black Sengoku bean paste, and cream. On some days, customers who purchase taiyaki will receive a free bag of crispy taiyaki wings.
The summer-only "chilled taiyaki" and "ice cream taiyaki" are also popular.

There is a small eat-in corner in the shop where you can enjoy freshly made piping hot tea. In the summer, "chilled taiyaki" is popular, made with a chewy dough made from tapioca flour and stuffed with whipped sweet bean paste or whipped custard. "Ice taiyaki", which is made by freezing this, is also recommended.
There are also other unique local menu items such as the "Taiyaki Burger Sandwich," which is made with fluffy dough made from eggs produced in Chitose and sandwiched with Ogura margarine.
