Warm Up in a Kotatsu and Enjoy Oden at the “Ski-in Ski-out Kotatsu Lounge” at Hoshino Resorts TOMAMU This Winter!

Hoshino Resorts TOMAMU, a nature wonder resort where you can experience the grandeur of Hokkaido, will once again host the "Ski-in Ski-out Kotatsu Lounge" at hotalu street from December 26, 2024, to March 31, 2025. This event allows guests to warm up in kotatsu (heated tables with blanket) while enjoying oden (Japanese stew) simmered in a flavorful kelp broth. Hotalu street is a ski-in ski-out village lined with nine shops offering food, drinks, and shopping. This winter, enjoy Hokkaido's unique kelp broth oden with seafood and mountain vegetables while warming up in a kotatsu against the backdrop of a snowy landscape. A new "Oden Bar" will also be available for casual after-ski drinks and snacks.

Hotalu street, where this event is held, was born in 2017 as Japan's first ski-in ski-out village. In December 2021, the "Ski-in Ski-out Kotatsu Beer Terrace" was held with the desire to provide guests with the unique experience of warming up in a kotatsu on the slopes. The following year, the "Ski-in Ski-out Kotatsu Lounge" was held, offering Hokkaido's local oden to be enjoyed by guests of all ages. This winter, an "Oden Bar" will be introduced for guests to enjoy after a day on the slopes. The bar will offer oden skewers that can be ordered individually and dashiwari sake (sake mixed with warm oden broth), combining Hokkaido sake with the umami flavors of kelp and seafood from the oden broth.

1A ski-in ski-out kotatsu lounge with warm lights in a snowy landscape

During the event period, kotatsu will be set up on the open terrace of hotalu street. Located mid-slope, guests can ski or snowboard right up to the front of the lounge. This winter, lights will illuminate the terrace and kotatsu at night. Enjoy oden and drinks with family and friends in a space filled with warm light and the glow of the snow.

2New "Oden Bar" for casual after-ski enjoyment

This winter, an oden bar will be set up inside cafe&bar tukino. This bar offers oden skewers with seafood and mountain vegetables, along with alcoholic beverages such as Hokkaido sake, wine, and beer. Spend your after-ski time savoring Hokkaido-style oden and drinks.

3"Special Oden Pot" featuring plenty of seafood and flavorful kelp broth

To warm you from the inside out, we offer Hokkaido’s unique oden. Enjoy a variety of ingredients in our “Special Oden Pot,” including luxurious seafood like crab and shrimp, and mountain vegetables such as fuki and bamboo shoots. Toppings such as salmon roe, crab miso, yama wasabi (Japanese horseradish), and yuzumiso (yuzu citrus and miso paste) are also provided. Enjoy the many ingredients and change up the flavors with the toppings until the very last bite.
