Hoshino Resorts RISONARE Yatsugatake, a resort hotel located in the nature-rich area of Yatsugatake, is pleased to offer "Domaine Mie Ikeno Ultimate Wine Stay - Winter -" as a chance to enjoy rare wines and the terroir of Yatsugatake on weekdays from December 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024. The city of Hokuto in Yamanashi Prefecture, where RISONARE Yatsugatake is located, received Japan's first certification as a "Wine Special Zone" (*1) in 2008. RISONARE Yatsugatake partnered with Domaine Ikeno in 2006 to advance as a wine resort. Taking advantage of its location today in one of Japan's premiere wine-growing areas, the hotel offers not only variations on drinking wine but also wine-related intellectual experiences, in-house facilities, activities, accommodation plans, and other encounters with the appeal of wine.
The dinner course, unique to this plan, features 2017 vintage wines from Domaine Mie Ikeno. An aperitif of Mie Ikeno Tsukika Chardonnay 2017 complements dishes that highlight the bounty of nature; grappa and bonbon chocolat made with Domaine Mie Ikeno wines provide a finishing digestif. The 2-day, 1-night accommodation plan features every variety of the Domaine Mie Ikeno 2017 vintage.
*1 One of the Special Zones for Structural Reform established in 2002, this special permit area allows licensing on a scale of one-third (2000 liters) of the regular minimum production (6000 liters) stipulated by the Liquor Tax Act.

1An aperitif to enjoy the mariage of Mie Ikeno Tsukika Chardonnay 2017 with cuisine

On a private terrace immersed in the nature of Mt. Yatsugatake, enjoy an aperitif(*2) of Tsukika Chardonnay 2017 from Domaine Mie Ikeno. Shadow queen potatoes, turnips, and other seasonal winter vegetables are served with hot fonduta (*3) for dipping. Grape vine branches from Domaine Mie Ikeno feed the fire, letting guests savor the mariage of wine and cuisine while sensing the terroir of the wine’s land of birth.

2Special dinner featuring every variety of 2017 vintage from Domaine Mie Ikeno

After the aperitif, guests will move to a private room adjacent to the terrace for a special dinner featuring every 2017 vintage Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot, and Prive from Domaine Mie Ikeno. The 2017 vintage is characterized by the richness of minerals and acids, with gentle aging. These wines have reached the time of drinking, with harmonious bouquets. The hotel’s affiliation with Domaine Mie Ikeno allows it to offer every variety of the wine. The Prive 2017 wine is paired with pici pasta in a wild boar ragout. Prive 2017 is characterized by aromas of black berries, herbs, and spices, with smooth and soft acidity and tannins. Winter-fatted game, the fruitiness of Merlot, and the wild taste unique to the herb yamato nadeshiko draw out the flavor of ingredients. As Prive is available solely at our hotel, this is a mariage that can be experienced only here.

3Two kinds of bonbon chocolat made with Ikeno wind and a digestif for enjoying the post-meal afterglow

After dinner, enjoy the post-meal afterglow(*4) with a digestif in the Wine Suite Maisonette guest room provided as accommodation. With Bordeaux color as its interior tones, the Wine Suite Maisonette is a wine lover’s suite room with a wine cellar and wine glasses unique to the room. The digestif features two types of bonbon chocolat made with Chardonnay and Privet from Domaine Mie Ikeno along with grappa, a spirit produced by fermenting and distilling the skins and seeds of grapes during wine production. Bonbon chocolat is characterized by its balance of fruitiness and acidity. In a suite room that symbolizes the wine resort, spend a luxurious time immersed in the post-meal afterglow.

4Breakfast enjoyed with wine in the guest room

Breakfast on the following day will be prepared in the in-room dining space to let guests relax. Breakfast is served with a hearty vegetable salad, bread, omelet, fruit, yogurt, and more, alongside condiments (*5). A half-bottle of Domaine Mie Ikeno wine, available in this room only, is served alongside cheese, ham, and nuts for enjoyment of wine from the morning. With vegetables and cheeses as the main dishes, it’s a perfect breakfast for a pleasant morning.
