Hoshino Resorts RISONARE Tomamu, a nature wonderland resort where you can feel the vastness of Hokkaido, will offer the "May Blues Relief Stay" from May 8, 2025, to June 30, 2025, allowing guests to bid farewell to their blues in the grandeur of Hokkaido. This plan offers full-body movement through activities such as walking while overlooking the expansive sea of clouds and cow herding. After exercise, guests can soothe their bodies in the in-room jacuzzi and private sauna, and relax with a sweet comforting milk. This one-night, two-day trip focuses on exercise, food, and rest (*1), which are said to be effective in relieving the "May blues," allowing guests to experience Hokkaido's natural offerings and refresh.

Background
"May blues," also known as gogatsubyou, is a common Japanese term referring to symptoms such as feeling depressed after the May holidays, general malaise, and reluctance to go to work. (*2)  It is speculated that one of the causes of these symptoms is stress and fatigue due to a disrupted lifestyle. Therefore, we have planned content that focuses on exercise, food, and rest, which are said to be effective in relieving the "May blues." This accommodation plan allows guests to switch gears and refresh by viewing the dynamic sea of clouds and spending time in the farm area where animals live leisurely within the approximately 1,000-hectare vast site.
*2 Though not a medical term, "May blues" is recognized and supported by a column published by the Japan Preventive Medicine Association

Features of the "May Blues Relief Stay"

1. Exercise: Refresh your body with exercise at the Cloud Terrace and farm areaThis plan offers participation in two "May blues" relief programs. The first is walking at the Cloud Terrace, located at an altitude of 1,088 meters. Guests can enjoy exercising while visiting six unique viewing spots and basking in the morning sun. A pedometer is also available for rent, and guests who achieve 10,000 steps will receive an original Tomamu tote bag. The second is morning "cow herding," where you move cows by calling out to them. Guests can relieve stress by guiding the cows up close while shouting loudly. This program allows guests to refresh while feeling the extraordinary by exercising and viewing the vast scenery and cows.

2. Food: Recharge your energy with slightly sweet azuki-flavored milk and a buffet-style breakfast

After exercising or bathing, we recommend trying "Slightly SWEET TOMAMU night milk" made with Tomamu milk. This is a slightly sweet azuki-flavored milk made only from milk milked in the evening. Guests can also recharge their energy for a refreshing day with a buffet-style breakfast offering a wide variety of dishes.

3. Rest: Spend relaxing personal time in a suite roomGuests can enjoy the jacuzzi and private sauna at their leisure while gazing at the expansive view from their suite room. They can also spend relaxing personal time with items that promote a refreshing morning, such as an aroma humidifier and relaxation goods that soothe the exercised body.
