Hoshino Resorts 1955 Tokyo Bay to open June 20th, 2024

With the concept “OLDIES GOODIES,” this hotel will start accepting reservations from January 17th, 2024
Hoshino Resorts 1955 Tokyo Bay is scheduled to open on June 20, 2024, in the Maihama and Shin-Urayasu area of Chiba Prefecture. With the hotel concept, “OLDIES GOODIES,” the hotel’s design is inspired by the United States back in 1955 when the world’s first Disneyland® was born. The hotel aims to provide convenient and comfortable stays for guests visiting Tokyo Disney Resort®.

Concept “OLDIES GOODIES”
The United States in the 1950s was when the economy and culture developed greatly and notably 1955, was the year when the world's first Disneyland® was born. The interior design of this new hotel will reflect the good old days of the United States during those times. With the concept of "OLDIES GOODIES," guests can enjoy a hotel stay that continues the spark and joy they had enjoyed all day at the theme park. 1955 Tokyo Bay will strive to offer services that make visits to the theme park more convenient and comfortable for a full immersion into the magical world.

“2nd Room”: A space that can be used freely 24 hours a day
The “2nd Room” is a public space that can be used freely 24 hours a day by hotel guests, even before check-in or after check-out. The music playing in this room is reminiscent of the United States back in 1955, while its impressive space showcases mid-century colors and interior designs that were popular at the time. The room has an area where guests can remove their shoes and rest, as well as an area that can be used as a semi-private room, allowing for relaxation in a space of choice. Based on each travel schedule, guests can take a break upon arrival, create a schedule for the next day with friends and family, or prepare for departure.

A variety of room types
A total of 638 guest rooms across 23 different room types are available. The wallpaper, carpets, sofas, and other furnishings in the rooms feature bold combinations of calm tones reminiscent of the United States back in 1955 for guests to experience the atmosphere of that time even in their room*.
*Excludes some rooms.

・Superior Room with a Goro Goro Bed
This room type has two beds with a Goro Goro Bed at the end of the room. ”Goro Goro” is a Japanese onomatopoeia that refers to someone lounging and relaxing. Guests can use this bed as a sofa to chat with friends and family during the day and at night, it can be used as a bed, accommodating up to four guests in this room.

Restaurants that guests can enjoy in the early morning and late at night
The Cafeteria serves freshly prepared meals even for guests arriving late at night, offering everything from rice bowls to hot and cold deli items, making it the ideal spot to recharge after a day at the theme park. The Restaurant, which serves breakfast buffets, opens at 6:00 a.m. so that even with an early departure, guests can be energized for the day. There is also a 24-hour Food & Drink Station next to the 2nd Room where snacks, light meals, and beverages can be purchased at any time of day. By offering dining options for guests arriving late at night or leaving early in the morning, a characteristic of when visiting a theme park, the hotel aims to ensure that all guests can enjoy a comfortable and fulfilling stay.
