"A Family Retreat in the Primeval Forest" Built in a Land of 120-Million-Year-Old Strata and Fossil Discoveries

Designed as a "A Family Retreat in the Primeval Forest," the facility sits directly next to the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum, one of the top three dinosaur museums globally (*1). Concept: A Family Retreat in the Primeval Forest

The property is situated within Katsuyama Dinosaur Park, one of Japan's leading dinosaur fossil excavation sites, where numerous new dinosaur species—such as Fukuiraptor and Fukuititan—have been discovered. Capitalizing on this captivating location, rich with 120-million-year-old strata and ancient fossils, the resort was developed around the concept of a 'Family Retreat in the Primeval Forest.'
To seamlessly blend with the surrounding natural beauty of Mt. Nagao and its dense Japanese red pine forests, the exterior features a cylindrical design inspired by pinecones. Inside, the spaces are themed around the 'strata' and 'earth' where fossils lie, offering an immersive stay wrapped in the changing beauty of the four seasons.

The top floor of the resort features the 'Panorama Wellness Floor,' designed to offer complete rejuvenation. Set atop a hilltop with unobstructed views, this open space overlooks the majestic mountains of Katsuyama and the dynamic landscape of the Kuzuryu River.
The highlight of this floor is the 'Panorama Pool'—a prime front-row location where guests can take in sweeping views of the surrounding natural scenery below, delivering an exquisite relaxation experience that fosters a deep connection with nature.
