Hoshino Resorts, a hotel management company with over 40 accommodations within and outside of Japan, will operate a hotel in a building in the Shimotori area of Chuo-ku, Kumamoto-shi, Kumamoto Prefecture, which started constructions on July 1, 2021. This hotel is the first facility in Kumamoto Prefecture to be operated by Hoshino Resorts. It will be the sixth in Kyushu following KAI Aso, KAI Kirishima, KAI Beppu (grand opening on July 8, 2021), KAI Yufuin (opening summer of 2022), and the Unzen Project (brand undecided). The facility is scheduled to open in spring 2023.
Image of the exterior
Located in the urban area of Kumamoto, the planned site has been crowded with people coming and going to Kumamoto Castle since the Edo period and is still a place that has long been familiar as the center of the city. From this location, of great accessibility to tourist spots, we will convey the charms of Kumamoto with rich food and historical culture through our stay experiences.
