At the “Alps Plaza,” which offers breathtaking views of the Yatsugatake and Southern Alps mountains, and the “Yatsugatake Wine House,” where guests can sample 24 different types of Yamanashi and Nagano wines, guests will delve into the world of wine and terroir. We will offer the opportunity to compare Yamanashi’s signature grape variety, “Koshu,” from various wineries, and guests can gain insight into how terroir can affect the flavor of wine at the Alps Plaza. At the Yatsugatake Wine House, guests will have the chance to taste the diverse range of wines produced in this region. Additionally, guests will be able to smell and understand the differences between various aromas such as grass and sweet violets used to express the aroma of wine. This is an experience that deepens understanding of wine-related knowledge and personal preferences.

Savor a specially curated pairing of wine and course meals at our main dining, “OTTO SETTE,” with the “Vino e Verdura” course, which features vegetables as the main ingredient. The flavors and depth of the wine will be heightened by the pairing, allowing guests to fully experience the joy of wine and food pairing. The course includes an appetizer of ” Soleil Wines Gruppetto Blanc ” (Asahiyo Shuzo / Yamanashi city, Yamanashi prefecture), paired with wild vegetables. The fresh citrus and herbal notes of the wine highlight the natural flavor of the vegetables, while its slight bitterness provides a gentle balance. The main dish is a classic combination of steamed potatoes, fresh egg and rich grana padano cheese sauce, topped with fragrant truffle. The dish is paired with “Domaine Rubaiyat” (Marufuji Winery / Koshu city, Yamanashi prefecture) which will enhance the rich fruit flavors and nuanced aging of the wine and its smooth texture. The winemaker’s dedication and brewing methods will also be shared, providing guests with an opportunity to further deepen their knowledge about wine and the winemaking process.
