1. BASEGATE Yokohama Kannai

A large-scale mixed-use development project in front of JR Kannai Station.Connected to Yokohama Stadium via a deck, the site will feature one of Japan’s largest permanent live viewing arenas, edutainment facilities, dining zones, and more.This hotel will be situated in a hub symbolizing the next-generation Yokohama.

2. A legacy hotel blending

Originally designed by architect Togo Murano, who supported the development of modern Japanese architecture, the former Yokohama City Hall will be reinterpreted as a hotel.While preserving the original location of the former administrative building beloved by locals, the project maximizes and carries on the architectural design for a new hotel concept.

3. Architectural commitment

Taizan tile art from inside the old city hall will be retained as-is and used in the café space.The circular lighting from the former assembly chamber will be incorporated into the hotel lobby’s design.The grand staircase from the civic hall will be recreated as the hotel lobby staircase, reusing elements like the original wooden handrails.
