Dinners are designed to help guests discover how well the region’s wines pair with seasonal Japanese cuisine. One popular dish is the red wine wagyu beef sukiyaki.

This is the standard kaiseki course meal. The sashimi is seasoned with a wide variety of condiments. Enjoy to your heart’s content this meal made of individual dishes, each one carefully paying homage to the cultural roots of its place of origin.

The combination of salty-sweet sukiyaki stock with red wine creates a rich and bracing combination. We recommend pairing it with Shinshu wine, of which KAI Matsumoto carries an extensive selection.

KAI serves breakfast made with ingredients that let you taste the flavor of the region and the local cooking techniques. Locally sourced  chicken, and mushrooms, steamed on a magnolia leaf with a regionally produced miso paste, is served with a variety of smaller dishes in this set meal.

We offer special Japanese platters for children between 4 and 6 years of age. These carefully selected menus include traditional Japanese ingredients like beans, sesame, and seaweed that the little ones are sure to love.
