Hida Craftsman Experience

In KAI's Cultural Discovery in KAI Okuhida, you can experience over 1,300 years of Hida's history of artisan craftsmanship. You will bend wood to make a curved wooden bag handle used to tie a furoshiki (a traditional Japanese wrapping cloth), one of Hida's original products. This is an opportunity to experience Hida's woodworking techniques while feeling and smelling the texture and aroma of the wood.
