Itinerary
Day 1
Finish your work for the day and head from your office straight to Tokyo station. Set out on the slightly over two hours-long trip to Kyoto to clear your slighty exhausted mind.
While you are still making plans for tomorrow, a five-story pagoda comes into view from the Shinkansen window. You arrive at Kyoto station in no time.
Once at Kyoto station, go straight to the hotel! Since you completed your check-in procedures in advance, you only need a quick check in at the front desk.
An artwork inspired by Toji Temple's three-dimensional mandala, which includes its 21 Buddha statues, welcomes you in the hotel.
As it's already late today, you can relax in your room and get ready for an early start tomorrow.
Day 2
At the sound of a gong, off we go! Join the "National Treasure Morning Walk —Meeting Kukai in the Morning—" tour to visit Toji Temple in the quietness of morning.
On the way back from Toji to the hotel, try the popular sweet "Toji Mochi", a famous fluffy rice cake filled with sweet red bean paste.
Once your heart and stomach are full, take a short nap in your room.
OMO Food & Drink Station allows you grab whatever you like without needing to look at the clock - perfect for any kind of morning, no matter if you are busy or wake up late.
Writing on sand: a meditative sutra experience. Let go of the fear of mistakes and challenge again and again.
Participate in the "Toji Mandala Walk" tour to make 21 new discoveries while slowly exploring Toji, the temple marking Kyoto's beginnings.
Getting hungry? Choose a restaurant from the "Go-KINJO Map" that helps you enjoy the entire neighborhood.
After returning from dinner, pick up some drinks and snacks from the Food & Drink Station for your evening conversations. The station is open 24 hours a day, so you can get your breakfast the day before, buy drinks and snacks for the evening, or use it however else.
Staying up just a bit longer tonight. Chatting the evening away while looking through the beautiful photos taken at Toji Temple.
Day 3
Where to go in the afternoon? Have a quick breakfast at the OMO Food & Drink Station in your OMO base on the first floor and get ready to head out.
Check out under the gentle smile of the Buddha watching over you.
Why not send your luggage to Kyoto station by lugguage delivery service and use the opportunity to explore more of the Toji area? Rent a bicycle from the Shared Bicycle Port PiPPA at the back of the hotel.
You can return the bicycle at the PiPPA port near Kyoto Station and get to Kyoto Station hands-free. After buying all your souvenirs, pick up your luggage at the luggage delivery service counter, and go directly to the Shinkansen platform.
