Hakodate has long been known as the “City of Squid” due to its deep connection with squid in the local culture.
For a limited time only, OMO5 Hakodate will hold an event where visitors can enjoy the unique “squid” of Hakodate.

The breakfast buffet, which is as lively as a morning market, is served in a bright, open space and offers a wide variety of Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes to enjoy squid in different styles.

Dining with a sense of the sea
The bright and open breakfast dining room is decorated with squid-ink dyed art boards and fishing net lighting, inspired by the sea of Hakodate.
Lounge after taking a bath
The lounge, where visitors can spend a wonderful evening time, is a comfortable space where records carefully selected by the master of a jazz cafe are played and lit up in the image of a fishing fire.
Squid Flavored French Fries
The fries are sprinkled with squid-flavored salt and dipped in a special condiment to enjoy the whole squid flavor that makes the beer go down the drain.
Squid Marche
15 kinds of products using squid, popular in the neighborhood and in Hakodate, are sold. The cute lineup includes packages with squid on them and squid-shaped manju (Japanese sweet buns).
