Introducing the "Strait Cabana Suite" with a sandy beach in the living area, designed for a stay to enjoy the strait fully
Hoshino Resorts will begin accepting reservations for Hoshino Resorts RISONARE Shimonoseki, the 8th property of its RISONARE resort hotel brand, on June 24, 2025. This opening marks RISONARE's first expansion into the Kyushu-Yamaguchi area.
Located in a prime spot overlooking the Kanmon Strait, the hotel offers dynamic views of the strait from all guest rooms, as well as from the terraces and pools within the facility, with the scenery changing throughout the day. Based on the concept of a "Kaikyo (strait) Designer's Hotel," the architecture incorporates elements unique to the region, such as the Kanmon Strait scenery and "fugu" (pufferfish). The hotel also designs stays that fully embrace the strait through activities leveraging its prime location. The official opening date is December 11, 2025.
Key Features of Hoshino Resorts RISONARE Shimonoseki:
"OTTO SETTE," the main dining experience already established at Hoshino Resorts RISONARE Tomamu, Nasu, and Yatsugatake, known for introducing guests to unique local ingredients, will now be featured at Hoshino Resorts RISONARE Shimonoseki. It will offer an Italian dinner course allowing guests to savor the diverse textures and inherent flavors of fugu (pufferfish), brought out by its precise thickness.
The buffet dining area, serving both breakfast and dinner, is named "PUKU PUKU," inspired by fugu and the imagery of water. Guests can indulge in a wide variety of fugu dishes, such as fugu karaage (fried fugu) and bouillabaisse, as well as local Shimonoseki specialties like "Kawara Soba."
The infinity pool is designed to seamlessly merge the water's surface with the sea and sky, creating an extraordinary space that blends with the Kanmon Strait scenery. Guests can enjoy a relaxing experience while taking in the dynamic landscape, where humans and nature converge, featuring the Kanmon Bridge, Mojiko on the opposite shore, and ships passing by.
The all-season indoor pool is distinguished by its bold and playful design, inspired by the fugu (pufferfish). A water slide, approximately 30 meters long, extends outdoors, offering a thrilling sensation as if being carried by the currents of the Kanmon Strait. The pool area also includes a shallow pool safe for small children, water play equipment, and toddler-friendly slides, making it perfect for children to get accustomed to water while having fun.
