Hoshino Resorts will offer free medical insurance with no payment required for all international travelers staying at Hoshino Resorts Group properties in Japan, starting from October 5th, 2022. This medical insurance covers the cost of medical treatment of sickness including COVID-19 that occur during a stay at Hoshino Resorts properties.
Since the pandemic, there has been an increase in concerns over receiving proper medical care or expressing one's condition in a foreign country. In case of emergency, guests can contact a 24/7 language support*² call center that provides information about nearby hospitals. Medical service at the hospital is guaranteed and there will be no payment required at the hospital on behalf so the guests do not have to worry about preparing and bringing cash.
In order to use this medical insurance, visitors to Japan must make reservations for Hoshino Resorts Group properties through the official booking website. The insurance covers the period from the check-in date to the check-out date with no additional charge. The main indemnities provided by Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co., Ltd. include medical expense compensation up to one million yen per injury or disease.
