Hoshino Resorts (Headquarters: Nagano, Japan) operating over 60 properties in Japan and overseas with a unique and enjoyable travel experience will be rebranding its recent acquisition, Onward Beach Resort Guam to “Hoshino Resorts RISONARE Guam” in April 2023. This will be the first overseas property under the countryside resort hotel brand called RISONARE. RISONARE offers visitors an array of activities to work both the mind and the body by creating distinctive themes specific to the region and innovative space designs that incorporate those characteristics. Our rebranding vision is to enhance the stay at the resort more valuable by providing a local experience unique to Guam and a spatial presentation to enjoy the natural environment to its fullest extent.
Road to the rebrand
Guam, welcoming approximately 1.66 million visitors annually (*1), is a popular tourist destination with a variety of attractions, including beautiful beaches, abundant nature represented by mangroves growing in pristine jungles, and the Chamorro culture, a tradition, and custom of the people living in Guam.
RISONARE is a brand that sets a unique theme connected to the area and provides activities for a wide range of customers including spatial arrangements and events designed to match the surrounding nature and scenery. We believe that RISONARE will make it possible to create a resort where every guest can enjoy the unique local experiences of Guam and the abundant natural environment. This led to our decision of rebranding the hotel as RISONARE Guam after careful consideration of the possibility of further enhancing the value of the resort.

Future Developments
The resort is located approximately 10 minutes by car from the downtown Tumon area and offers a quiet resort stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city. In front of the resort is a private beach with a variety of marine activities as well as beautiful sunset views. It also has one of the largest water parks in Micronesia, where both adults and children can enjoy themselves all day long. In preparation for the rebrand in the future, we will proceed with the development of content that takes advantage of the property’s features and location, in line with the RISONARE brand concept, and the consideration of renovation proposals.
