~Warm up with soup and seasonal crafts~

Hoshino Resorts RISONARE Nasu, a highland agri-tourism resort, will hold its first "Rice Ear Christmas" event from December 1st to 25th, 2024. The resort's POKO POKO Plaza will feature a 5-meter tall Christmas tree adorned with golden illuminations and rice ear decorations. Guests can warm up with vegetable soup and participate in a workshop to create Christmas wreaths using rice ears. The event offers a unique opportunity to spend a special Christmas with family and friends in a heartwarming atmosphere.

Background
At RISONARE Nasu, staff cultivate rice from spring to autumn in the resort's rice paddy. The harvested rice is served in the resort's restaurants, while brown rice and rice ears are utilized in other various activities. The golden rice ears at harvest time create a picturesque scene reminiscent of Japan's traditional landscape. To extend this breathtaking golden scenery into the winter season, RISONARE Nasu conceived the "Rice Ear Christmas" event, incorporating the rice ears into Christmas trees and illuminations.
