RISONARE Yatsugatake: A Resort Hotel to Experience the Majestic Nature and Fine Wines of Yatsugatake
RISONARE Yatsugatake is a resort hotel nestled amid the magnificent nature of the Yatsugatake Mountains. Its concept, “A Town Where Mountain Vacanze Come True,” draws from the Italian word vacanze, meaning vacation. Set in an atmosphere reminiscent of an Italian alpine town, the resort offers gourmet dining paired with local wines and a variety of activities. Whether visiting with family, friends, or loved ones, RISONARE Yatsugatake provides new encounters and inspirations for every guest throughout the year.

RISONARE Yatsugatake joined Hoshino Resorts in 2001 as the first property under its “RISONARE” brand, which has since expanded to six locations across Japan. Perched at an elevation of about 1,000 meters, the resort offers breathtaking views of the Southern Alps, Mt. Fuji, and the Yatsugatake Mountains. Spanning 7.5 hectares, the property features Piment Street, a charming townscape designed by world-renowned architect Mario Bellini, who envisioned “a place of ultimate relaxation on earth.” Inspired by Italian mountain towns, the street is lined with restaurants, cafés, and boutique shops on the ground floor, with guest rooms above, creating a lively yet tranquil atmosphere.

Collaboration with Domaine Mie Ikeno
Since 2006, RISONARE Yatsugatake has partnered with Domaine Mie Ikeno in Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture. Situated at 750 meters above sea level, the vineyard cultivates three varieties of wine grapes: Chardonnay, Merlot, and Pinot Noir. Using only grapes grown on-site and employing winemaking methods that respect nature, the wines capture the essence of the Yatsugatake region in every bottle.
About Domaine Mie Ikeno
Founder Mie Ikeno, from Nagano Prefecture, earned a French national winemaking qualification at Université Montpellier and gained experience in Burgundy and southern France before returning to Japan. In 2006, she discovered the Yatsugatake region, recognizing its long hours of sunlight and high-quality soil as ideal for winemaking, and subsequently established the vineyard in 2007.
