This program features grapes from “Budo Senshin” vineyard and wines from “Katsunuma Jozo” winery. Guests can enjoy the unique experience of harvesting grapes while learning about grape cultivation and the taste differences between varieties from the vineyard owner. After harvesting their chosen grapes, guests will embark on a winery tour at Katsunuma Jozo. In a tasting room not open to the public, they will hear directly from the winemakers about the winemaking process and history, and select their favorite bottle. With the scenery of grapevines laden with fruit and lush leaves, guests can immerse themselves in the autumnal charm of Yamanashi.
HOSHINOYA Fuji’s chef will create a personalized “Grape Pairing Dinner” using the grapes harvested at the vineyard and wines selected at the winery. The dishes will showcase the unique characteristics of the grapes, such as color, texture, sweetness, and juiciness, while incorporating local Yamanashi ingredients and seasonal produce. HOSHINOYA Fuji’s sommelier will carefully select wines to complement each dish, highlighting the diverse flavors of Yamanashi wines, including the nuances of different vineyards and vintages. The dinner will be served in a special outdoor setting on the Cloud Terrace, surrounded by nature. Guests can savor their chosen wines and grapes in the pleasant autumn forest atmosphere, creating a truly unique and memorable dining experience.
After enjoying dinner, guests can return to their cabin and unwind with HOSHINOYA Fuji’s original grape bath before bedtime. This exclusive bath is made from grape skins, seeds, and other byproducts of the winemaking process. It contains polyphenols and other beneficial components (*4), as well as natural herbs, which warm the body from within and release a gentle wine aroma. After an active day at the vineyard and winery, guests can soothe their bodies in a warm bath, reflect on their experience at the reosrt, and relax before sleep.
