“Izu’s Three Signature Dishes”
The three signature dishes of the Izu region are spiny lobster, abalone, and splendid alfonsino. Spiny lobster is served fresh and raw in sashimi style, while the abalone is roasted on a ceramic plate. The splendid alfonsino, meanwhile, is prepared in different ways each season, such as steamed whole and then drizzled with oil in a pan, as well as cooked in a shallow hot pot. Savor the blessings of the Izu Sea to your heart’s content with our special kaiseki course meals.

KAI serves breakfast made with ingredients that let you taste the flavor of the region and the local cooking techniques. A set meal featuring a dish inspired by the traditional Izu fisherman’s breakfast—Horse mackerel sashimi, seasoned with Welsh onions and miso paste—is served in the morning.
