Day 1
Ito Onsen is an good old hot spring with a long history as a therapeutic spa and is famous for its abundant supply of the hot spring water. The smooth, thick water makes your skin rejuvenated.
It takes 5 minutes from the station by taxi or 10 minutes on foot.
At KAI, we offer “KAI Hot Spring Healing,” an authentic hot spring cure experience based on the efficacy and quality of the water at the hot springs.
Take a time to relax with with a drink in your room. Now, change your clothes into our original Samue.
On several occasions, our “Yumori of KAI” -Hot Spring Concierge- at KAI will explain the history of the hot spring as well as its spring qualities and effective ways to bathe.
The mild climate of Ito is ideal for growing camellias. Try your hand at squeezing camellia seeds in a press to extract fresh oil.
Wrap your bathing kit in a Furoshiki, a traditional wrapping cloth, and off to the hot springs. Enjoy the open-air hot spring where waterfalls of the spring water flow down from the dynamic rock decoration.
Take a short break with our complimentary popsicle. While admiring the exquisite Japanese garden, your body, warmed by the hot spring, begins to cool off.

Day 2
The soft sunlight in the early morning helps you wake up refreshed.
At KAI, we offer a “Local Breakfast” using ingredients and cooking methods that reflect the local culture. At KAI Ito, horse mackerel sashimi is served in the morning.
Try walking with large strides while consciously “inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth.” A course map is available with routes that you can walk lightly for about an hour.
Local tourism options are plentiful and include shopping at a fish market, nature tours along Oirase Gorge and at other locations, and visiting an art museum.
Panels on the display introduce the mechanism of hot springs, the history of hot spring cures, and the descriptions of the spring qualities. It is also a great way to review hot spring etiquette and manners.
Ito City has many tourist destinations that people of all ages can enjoy, such as Mount Omuro and Izu Shaboten Zoo. With our inn as a base, explore the local shopping district.
Soak your feet into the footbath while enjoying the view of the Japanese garden. It relieves your tired feet after a long walk.
Relaxing your body in the evening helps with digestion for dinner.
Our special Kaiseki cuisine features the three best delicacies of Izu: sea bream, lobster, and abalone. An early dinner allows you to fully savor each dish.

Day 3
Off to the dining area to satisfy your stomach.
The pool is fed by the spring source, which keeps the water at an appropriate temperature all year round. Both adults and children can enjoy the water together.
A road along the banks of the Matsukawa River is surrounded by weeping willows and classic street lamps. Lined with old-fashioned wooden buildings such as Tokai-kan, the area has the elegance of an old hot spring resort.
We offer delicious coffee along with books and stories about the history, culture, nature, and crafts of the area.
Check out a variety of souvenirs that have amused you during your stay at the inn, such as traditional crafts including the hanging Hina dolls and cosmetics made with camellia oil.
The check-out is until noon. When you leave the inn, you are refreshed and fully charged.
