A magical light show in the snow

We offer a special seating area designed for intimate conversation, bathed in the soft glow of "Hida-dama" lanterns. Each hut features a roof inspired by traditional Gassho-zukuri architecture. Inside, you will find a cozy "Kotatsu" (heated table) surrounded by intricate "Chidori-goushi" lattice woodwork, a craft unique to the Hida region. The interior stays a soothing 5℃ warmer than the crisp winter air, creating a serene sanctuary. It is the perfect harmony of snowy landscapes and Japanese tradition.

At these prime seats inside the snow igloo (kamakura), three types of bite-sized appetizers featuring Hida beef, along with local beverages, are served. The appetizers are inspired by the snowscape illuminations hosted across the hot spring villages of Okuhida Onsen-go. For the beverage, a local hot cocktail is prepared by pairing "Hida Black Tea"—fermented using the thermal heat of Okuhida Onsen-go—with whisky from the Hida Takayama Distillery. In the quiet ambiance of a snowy night, guests can indulge in luxurious appetizers made generously with Hida beef alongside a warming drink.

Illuminating the courtyard is "Hida-dama," originally designed Japanese lanterns inspired by the steep-pitched thatched roof "Gassho-zukuri" farmhouses found in the heavy snowfall region of Hida. The soft glow of Hida-dama casts a magical, enchanting light across the courtyard.
