Milky-white volcanic hot spring waters feed both a hot bath and a pleasantly lukewarm bath. At night, a water garden adjacent to the outdoor bath turns into a glow stone-illuminated work of art.

A nightly workshop teaches guests how to decorate tenugui, a classic Japanese handkerchief. They are encouraged to tap into their inner artist and paint their very own design on the tenugui.

Dinners consist of imaginatively presented dishes—such as a smoke dish meant to evoke Owakudani, a nearby volcanic valley—served on artistically designed dishware.
