KAI Cultural Discovery

Guests are invited to join a nightly workshop where they will learn to decorate tenugui, a traditional Japanese handkerchief. Staff are on hand to assist guests with painting their original designs.

Discover original postcards at our Atelier Library. Unlike a digital photo, the colors you choose by hand bring back memories of Hakone more vividly. Enjoy coloring in the library or your room, then keep it as a memento or mail it to someone special.
KAI Massage

We offer highly therapeutic massages by nationally certified staff. After bathing, blood circulation is improved and the body can relax more easily. A massage before dinner also helps with digestion.
Cool-down Soaking

- Jun 1, 2026 – Aug 31If the temperature on the day is low and unsuitable for "Cool-down Soaking," the hot spring will be provided at its standard temperature.
Under the supervision of a balneotherapy specialist, KAI presents "Cool-down Soaking"—a unique way to beat the summer heat. Enjoy a revitalizing hot spring experience complemented by specially designed cooling spaces and refreshing beverages.
