Gion Harmony & Wellbeing Walk

Pray for Marital Harmony
A winter-exclusive tour to pray for family safety at Yasaka Shrine, home to guardian deities of the family. Enjoy a peaceful early morning stroll along quiet Hanamikoji Street, followed by a special visit to receive blessings for marital harmony and deeper bonds.
Avoid crowds with a quiet morning stroll down Hanamikoji to Yasaka Shrine. Learn shrine etiquette and pray for family safety and harmony. Back at the hotel, enjoy a traditional lion dance performance to ward off bad luck—a unique winter Kyoto experience for good fortune.
Purify yourself in a cleansing bath the night before to prepare for an early morning shrine visit. Afterwards, enjoy warm sekihan (red bean rice) from Gion Narumiya, founded in 1931. The symbolic red beans ward off evil, cleansing misfortune and wishing you health and happiness for the year ahead in a uniquely atmospheric Gion stay.
