    We offer "Teppachi Shojin Ryori " by "IZUSEN," a restaurant established 150 years ago in Kyoto, specializing in seasonal dishes served in vermilion-lacquered iron bowls. Please enjoy "the local lifestyle in Gion" while savoring Kyoto's traditional cuisine in your comfortable room.

    According to Buddhist teachings,, vegetarian cuisine is a cuisine that uses mainly beans, vegetables, grains, and seaweed without any meat and seafood. Recently, it has gained popularity as a "healthy food.

  • "Omusubi" Riceballs Breakfast【from October 1, 2025】

    Limited to 10 rooms per day

    Starting in October 2025, the breakfast menu will be renewed! Begin your "Gion life" morning with carefully selected ingredients and handcrafted "omusubi" riceballs, accompanied by a heartwarming bowl of tonjiru (pork and vegetable miso soup).

    ―Breakfast Menu-

    - Dashi Onigiri (riceballs made with dashi) - 2 pieces

    - Warm Tonjiru (pork miso soup)

    - Daily side dish (seasonal vegetables, dashi-maki rolled omelet, salmon, salmon roe, etc.)

    *Meals are served in your room or at "WA・KKA" on the basement floor of the building.

    As expected from Kyoto, one of Japan's top cities for bread consumption, we offer the "In-Room Bakery Set" for you to enjoy in your guest room. Simply set the in-room bread machine before you go to sleep, and you'll wake up to the wonderful aroma of freshly baked bread for a delightful morning.

  • Gion Osewagakari — Your Concierge in Gion

    Deciding on your restaurant in Gion can be a bit daunting at first. Your concierge, "Gion Osewagakari," will suggest you the perfect restaurant according to your budget and what you want to eat—so that even first-time visitors to Gion can have an enjoyable dining experience. Furthermore, guests may order bentos from Gion's long-established caterer, "Hishiiwa," to be delivered to their rooms (requires reservation at least 3-days in advance).
