Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive at JR Kyoto Station when you see Kyoto Tower.
After delivering only the luggage to the hotel and changing into kimono, we went directly to Kyoto for sightseeing.
Located in downtown Kyoto, it is in front of the Yasaka Shrine, which is famous for hosting the Gion Festival in the summer. Many must-go sightseeing spots are within walking distance of the hotel including Kiyomizu Temple, Hanami-koji Street, Ninenzaka, and Sannenzaka slopes. A perfect place for travel crammers!
Smart, automatic check-in at the front desk.
All rooms are Japanese-style rooms with tatami mats that allow you to take off your shoes. Multiple room types available, perfect for friends and families.
The staff has carefully selected restaurants for dining in Gion, which is a bit of a hurdle.
After dinner, take a walk around the Gion area at night with OMO's original lanterns, which are available for rent in the hotel.
Catch a restful night's sleep as you get ready for Kyoto sightseeing the next morning. And don't forget to switch on the home bakery!
Day 2
This guided tour takes place in the early morning when the streets have only a handful of pedestrians. Walk along Kyoto's picturesque Hanamikoji and Nene no Michi paths and conclude the tour with a visit to Yasaka Shrine.
A pleasant aroma wafts in the air as you return to your room. Coming back from the walk and treating yourself to freshly baked bread feels like the perfect way to start a fun day.
The OMO Base showcases items regarding Gion's seasonal traditions on the first floor. Be sure to check out the items on display this season!
Many famous sightseeing spots, like Kiyomizu-dera, Kodaiji Temple, and Chion-in, are all within walking distance from the hotel. Experience Kyoto sightseeing in its purest form.
Return to the hotel and participate in a complimentary overnight-only tour of history and culture inspired by the coat of arms.
You can enjoy “Gion's catered dishes” such as a wakadori (chicken) mizutaki nabe set in your room. A kitchen is included, so simple cooking is possible.
A chawa-kai is a casual gathering to talk over powdered green tea and sweets. Neighborhood guide OMO rangers will prepare matcha tea and serve it with Japanese sweets. How about discussing your memories and future travel plans before you go to sleep?
Comfortable rooms with separate bath and toilet. Relax your tired body in the spacious bathtub. Good night.
Day 3
Enjoy “Gion Gurashi” while savoring Kyoto's traditional “Teppachi vegetarian cuisine” in the comfort of your room.
Go to Shijo Dori and Hanamikoji Dori, lined with famous Kyoto wagashi shops and Yojiya.
Take your time to get ready and check out.
If you use the carry-on service at Kyoto Station, you can travel light to your next destination, OMO7 Osaka.
