Itinerary
Day 1
After buying a boxed lunch at Tokyo Station and getting ready, we will depart for our 2 hour and 15 minute trip to Kyoto Station!
You will get a view of the five-story pagoda as you arrive in Kyoto! The city bus is conveniently located right in front of the Karasuma exit of Kyoto Station and will take you to the hotel.
You will see the entrance after passing through a long access path. Pass through the public space and check in at the front desk.
You will take a guided tour of the neighborhood, walking along the elegant Takase River lined with swaying willows, and travel back in time.
Take a look at the neighborhood map filled to the brim with information about the town, including everything from classic Kyoto gourmet restaurants as well as those that are a little out of the ordinary, and head out to try some of the best Kyoto cuisine.
Enjoy chatting around the group table in your room and make plans for tomorrow.
Day 2
A colorful salad and a new Kyoto delicacy, the "Nama-yuba Risotto" served at the OMO Café on the 1st floor will recharge your energy.
The tour will start at Sanjo Bridge, which is the starting point of the Fifty-three Stages of the Tokaido! A guided tour of the neighborhood will help you discover items from the present and the past, to enrich your travel experience.
Wander along Sanjo Street, lined with traditional and modern machiya townhouses and buildings that are both typical of Kyoto and new, stopping to have lunch in a machiya.
You will walk to "Ponto-cho", with its elegant red lanterns between Kiyamachi Street and the Kamo River, to look for a restaurant for dinner.
To chat a bit longer, have another drink at the OMO Café where you can talk around a large takasebune table.
Day 3
After breakfast, looking at the neighborhood map, the OMO staff will hold a planning meeting to decide where the tour should go in the afternoon.
