Events are held nightly at the OMO base, which incorporates Okinawan-inspired design, where visitors can spend time experiencing Ryukyuan culture and history.
Visitors can experience Okinawan-ness in a space lit by Ryukyu glass lights, a night market with carefully selected local Okinawan products, and activities based on Awamori, a traditional Okinawan liquor.

how to spend one's time
1. fantastic space lit by Ryukyu glass
At night, the OMO base is illuminated with traditional Ryukyu glass. Visitors can spend a pleasant evening chatting over sweets and pastries, comparing awamori drinks, and experiencing Okinawan culture.
Free Awamori tasting service will also be offered from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
2. Sanshin (traditional Okinawan instrument) live performance
We regularly hold live performances by professional sanshin players.
This event is open to everyone from small children to adults. The gentle echoing sound will further enliven the evening in Naha.
3. Night market featuring local products
A night market event is held in the museum with an array of local products carefully selected by the Okinawa-loving staff. We have a variety of Okinawan sweets, commonly used seasonings, and Ryukyu glass like that displayed in the OMO base.
They make great souvenirs of your trip.
4. cafe & bar menu perfect for evening
OMO Cafe & Bar's evening menu is also highly recommended. We offer a wide variety of dishes such as Awamori and craft gin drinking sets, half-size “Okinawa soba to finish off the meal” perfect for after drinking, and a set of special snacks and sweets.
Whether you are spending a relaxing time in the museum or stopping by after going out on the town, please feel free to use the restaurant according to your mood at that moment.
