“Myojo no Yu” is situated 170m above sea level and in the best location that allows you to even see the Sagami bay on a fine day, a modern design that truly gives you a feel of floating on the water.

< Feature 2>Two types of bath –a cypress wooden bath,and an Izu stone bath

At the public bath, you may enjoy two types of bath – a cypress wooden bath that allows you to feel the warmth of the wood on your skin; and an Izu stone bath that can keep the heat of the hot spring.

< Feature 3> Origin of Myojo no Yu.

In 1914, Kasuke Hoshino opened Hoshino Hot Spring Hotel at Karuizawa. It was named as “Myojo-Kan”and was loved by many, and that is where the name “Myojo no Yu” was inherited from. Even the name “Myojo no Yu” was used in Tekkan’s poem. The only hot spring left that still inherits the name is right here in the public bath of Hoshino Resorts RISONARE Atami.

Hotel guests can use it for free (non-hotel guests are not allowed).

Upon usage

We do not admit guests with any kinds of tattoo to use the baths.

Calcium and sodium chloride sulfate spring (low osmotic pressure / neutral / extra hot spring)

Effects

Contraindications for hot spring

Apparent physical weakening such as active stage of illnesses (especially with fever), active tuberculosis, spread malignant tumor, or severe anemia, etc; severe heart or lung diseases that even minimal movements can cause shortness of breath; severe kidney diseases with swelling; gastrointestinal bleeding, visible hemorrhage, during acute advanced stage of chronic diseases
