Property Details: OMO7 Asahikawa by Hoshino Resorts

Exploring Hokkaido’s Local Culture, Wildlife, and Flavors

OMO7 Asahikawa by Hoshino Resorts opened on April 28, 2018, as the inaugural property of "OMO," the fourth brand launched by Hoshino Resorts following HOSHINOYA, KAI, and RISONARE. As a city tourism hotel designed to help guests "fully enjoy the city," it offers a stay focused on deep local discovery and exploration.

A City Tourism Hotel to Fully Enjoy Asahikawa
OMO7 Asahikawa by Hoshino Resorts is dedicated to helping guests "fully enjoy the city" through unique local content. These offerings include "Asahiyama Zoo Lectures" filled with expert insights, "Concept Rooms" inspired by local wildlife, and guided tours to the city’s best-kept secrets and atmospheric eateries. A stay here is an invitation to discover the authentic charm and hidden stories of Asahikawa.

The OMO Base (Travelers' Fun Lounge)
Upon entering, guests are greeted by a striking centerpiece: a large table crafted from white birch monuments. Every chair and table within the OMO Base is authentic Asahikawa Furniture—a brand representing manufacturers from Asahikawa and its surrounding regions, recognized as one of Japan’s five major furniture-producing hubs.
The interior design also incorporates wood offcuts from the furniture-making process. This choice reflects a narrative woven throughout the space: the lifecycle of a single tree being transformed into craft, where every part of the timber is utilized with respect and without waste.Birch Tree TableAsahikawa Furniture

Go-KINJO Map (Local guide map)
The Go-KINJO Map (Local guide map) at OMO7 Asahikawa is distinguished by its unique circular design. It features a wide array of restaurants and cafes handpicked by our (Local guide) OMO Rangers. These guides act like a local friend, sharing their favorite neighborhood haunts and hidden gems that only residents know.

Book Tunnel
The Book Tunnel is a cozy, curated space filled with literature related to the history and nature of Hokkaido and Asahikawa. Surrounded by the warmth of natural wood, this tranquil atmosphere is an ideal spot for guests to plan their upcoming adventures or focus on work.

Welcome Drink
A playful highlight of the lounge is the "Welcome Faucet," designed with a motif of Hokkaido’s iconic wood-carved bears. Guests can enjoy a rotating selection of seasonal beverages. The specific flavor remains a surprise until you arrive at OMO7 Asahikawa by Hoshino Resorts.

Animal-Themed Content: Immersive Stays for Zoo Enthusiasts
As many guests stay at OMO7 Asahikawa by Hoshino Resorts specifically to visit the Asahiyama Zoo, the hotel offers a variety of specialized animal-themed experiences to make their visit even more memorable.

Exclusive Concept Rooms

Sauna PLATEAU
Located on the B1 floor of OMO7 Asahikawa by Hoshino Resorts, Sauna PLATEAU is a comprehensive wellness facility designed for ultimate relaxation. It features two distinct types of saunas: a high-temperature dry sauna and a moisture-rich mist sauna. The high-temperature sauna is fully equipped for both auto-löyly and self-löyly experiences. Since the men’s and women’s bathing areas are rotated between morning and evening sessions, guests can enjoy both styles of löyly during a single night's stay. Furthermore, "Vihta" (birch whisks) are provided in every sauna room, allowing guests to enjoy the soothing scent of nature while practicing sa-katsu—the revitalizing ritual of cycling through the sauna, cold bath, and rest.
・Hours: 5:00 am – 9:00 am (Last entry 8:30 am) / 3:30 pm – 12:00 am (Last entry 11:30 pm)
・Price: Free
・Eligibility: Exclusive to hotel guests

Auto-löyly
The auto-löyly system automatically releases water onto the heated sauna stones every 20 minutes. This creates a powerful burst of hot steam that raises the room’s temperature and humidity to promote deep, refreshing perspiration.

Self-löyly
For a more personalized experience, the self-löyly sauna allows guests to pour water onto the stones at their own pace, providing complete control over the heat and humidity. The löyly water is infused with Vihta, releasing a gentle forest aroma that fills the room with every pour.

Mist Sauna
Maintained at approximately 50°C, the mist sauna envelops guests in a cloud of hydration. It offers a gentler, high-humidity alternative to the dry sauna, providing a different way to relax and recharge.

OMO Cafe & Bar
Breakfast
A vibrant breakfast buffet is served to ensure guests start their day on a high note. Signature dishes include "Freshly Baked Waffles" and "Seafood Mountain Wasabi Rice." The waffles are prepared with a unique potato-infused dough, creating a texture that is crispy on the outside and wonderfully fluffy on the inside. The "Seafood Mountain Wasabi Rice" showcases mountain wasabi, a beloved Hokkaido staple. The wasabi is grated directly in front of guests, allowing the fresh, invigorating aroma to be experienced at its peak.

Cafe & Bar Menu
Cafe service begins at 11:00 am, offering an extensive selection of sweets and light fare. Highlights include the "Cake Set," which allows for a pairing of a featured cake with a preferred drink, and the interactive "White Kidney Bean Mont Blanc," which offers a unique experience for guests to apply the finishing swirls of cream themselves.
In addition to seasonal offerings, the menu celebrates Hokkaido’s unique "Shime Parfait" (nighttime parfait) culture—the local custom of concluding an evening with a decadent dessert. Starting at 7:00 pm, the signature "Strawberry and Fresh Cream Parfait" is available for guests to enjoy.Cafe Hours: 11:00 am – 10:00 pm (Last Order 10:00 pm)
