The "Go-KINJO Map" Packed with Deep Neighborhood Information
A map measuring approximately 2 meters high and wide is on display in the 1F public space, the "OMO Base." This map covers areas within walking distance of the hotel and features information personally gathered by our staff. The map highlights not only dining establishments such as hidden sushi spots frequented by food connoisseurs and industry professionals, small eateries, and izakayas loved by Kanazawa citizens, but also essential spots for talking about the food of Kanazawa, including cultural heritage buildings and long-established stores handling Kutani ware (designated as a national traditional craft) and lacquerware.Local Guide Activities: Kanazawa Katamachi Food Culture
A guided tour with jam-packed information to enjoy the gourmet town of Katamachi. The tour consists of learning about the roots of Katamachi’s food culture and the link between food and traditional crafts. During the tour, participants can stop by the stores to interact with the staff. For example, at a Japanese confectionery store that has been loved by the people of Katamachi for a long time, details of the products and the untold stories behind the scenes are shared and a small confectionery, specifically for this tour, can be enjoyed. Also, items of interest can be bought on the spot so it is recommended for scouting souvenirs.
