“OMO5 Yokohama Bashamichi” Opens Its Door on January 15, 2026

A new hotel rising 154 meters above Yokohama will offer 360° panoramic views and a “voyage through the sky” experience

Hoshino Resorts’ city-tourism brand, OMO, will open “OMO5 Yokohama Bashamichi by Hoshino Resorts” on January 15, 2026, in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture. Together with OMO7 Yokohama, set to open in front of Kannai Station in spring 2026, two OMO properties will soon welcome guests to the vibrant city of Yokohama. Located on the 46th–51st floors of a high-rise building directly connected to Bashamichi Station, the new hotel rises 154 meters above the city, offering breathtaking views of the port town below. Under the concept “360° Sky Voyage,” the hotel invites guests on a sky-high journey, where 360-degree panoramas unfold from guest rooms and public spaces—an uplifting stay that feels like sailing through the sky.

Concept: “360° Sky Voyage”
Yokohama is a port city embraced by the sea, where modern skyscrapers rise against a backdrop of maritime charm. Its open vistas—shaped by the ocean, harbor, and iconic architecture—shift in color and mood with the passing of time, reflecting the vibrant rhythm of life below. Rising 154 meters above the city, OMO5 Yokohama Bashamichi captures this ever-changing scenery and reimagines it as a “voyage through the sky.” Guests are invited to leave behind the bustle of everyday life and enjoy a serene, elevated escape surrounded by sweeping panoramic views of Yokohama. From sunrise to nightfall, the city unfolds in every direction—shimmering seas and cityscapes by day, twinkling lights by night—offering a liberating journey through the sky.
Features of OMO5 Yokohama Bashamichi

1. “OMO Base”—A circular corridor offering 360° panoramic views of Yokohama

The public space, “OMO Base,” offers guests with a 360° panoramic view. Inspired by a ship’s command center, the reception area sets the nautical tone, while the circular layout of the space invites exploration and discovery. Throughout the corridor, a variety of experiences await: the “Play Zone” for billiards and table games, a gallery showcasing the culture of the port city, and a theater screening Western films. Much like a stay aboard a cruise ship, guests can spend their time here exactly as they wish.
Within the OMO Base, guests can also enjoy different vantage points of Yokohama. From the “Bay View Deck,” which offers a bird’s-eye view of ships passing through the port, to the “Night View Deck,” where black interiors and mirrored walls enhance the sparkling nightscape, visitors can discover new perspectives and unique expressions of Yokohama from multiple angles.

2. Guest rooms inspired by ship cabins, offering private, breathtaking views

The guest rooms feature warm, ship-cabin-inspired interiors that evoke the excitement of a sea voyage. The bed area is designed with a leather-strapped headboard and brass-colored rails, reminiscent of classic maritime journeys. Guests can enjoy breathtaking views of Yokohama from their windows, taking in the ever-changing scenery at their own pace.

3. Kitchens and washer-dryers in all rooms, allowing guests to relax as if living in the city

All rooms come equipped with kitchens and washer-dryers, allowing guests to unwind as if living in Yokohama. Many rooms separate the living and bedroom areas for added comfort, making them ideal for extended or long-term stays. Guests can enjoy cooking with local ingredients, creating a home-away-from-home experience. For larger groups or families, the 136㎡ “OMO House Corner Suite” features an island kitchen and three bedrooms, accommodating a variety of travel styles.

4. “Go-KINJO”— A neighborhood experience program to help guests explore the city like a local

At OMO, “OMO Rangers”—staff who know the area inside and out—curate a “Go-KINJO Map” filled with local tips and hidden gems you won’t find in guidebooks. Guests can discover local favorites and enjoy a deeper experience of Yokohama by using the hotel as their base for urban exploration.
