The coffee syrup is finished over a campfire flambé using warmed Hakushu whisky, capturing its crisp, delicate aroma as it rises with the flames. Inspired by Café Royal, this dramatic preparation enhances both the depth and fragrance of the syrup. Paired with blueberries, summer strawberries, the gentle bitterness of espresso, and the rich finish of whisky, it creates a sophisticated dessert for the discerning palate. As the ice slowly melts, the flavors deepen and evolve, offering a truly luxurious and memorable tasting journey.
The ice is crafted through a natural freezing process, using pure spring water from Mt. Fuji that has been filtered over many years and slowly frozen in the harsh winter cold. While harnessing the power of nature, it is carefully managed in a controlled environment with strict hygiene standards, becoming the first in Japan to receive approval under the Food Sanitation Act. This results in exceptionally pure ice with minimal impurities, offering a smooth, mellow texture and a clean taste free from any off-flavors.
Overlooking the Lake Kawaguchi area, HOSHINOYA Fuji enjoys refreshingly cool summer nights. At the Cloud Terrace, you can unwind in your favorite seat, listening to the gentle chorus of crickets and watching the soft glow of a campfire, fully immersed in the tranquility of nature. In this serene setting, enjoying “Summer Night Flambé Shaved Ice” becomes a moment of quiet, refined luxury in the heart of the forest.
