Hunting Tour

It is a food education for adults who know the cycle of life.

You enter the forest at the northern foot of Mt. Fuji with local hunters, and observe and experience a series of processes in which deer are cut down.

Wild game hunting

In the forest around the Fuji Five Lakes, you will be accompanied by skilled local hunters, observing and experiencing the hunting process up close. You will also learn how they elevate the captured game into the finest wild fare.

Walking through the forest

On the day before your hunting experience, you will walk through the forest on HOSHINOYA Fuji’s grounds. You may find animal trails, as well as traces of deer nibbling on tree bark, allowing you to feel their coexistence.

Learning the cycle of life

Through the Game Meat Dinner, where you experience consuming wild game, and the traditional Yamanashi craft of lacquering Koshu Inden made from deerskin, you will deepen your understanding of the importance of consuming life without waste.
