Gozan no Okuribi (Bonfire of the Five Mountains) Viewing Boat

Cormorant Fishing

Ukai, traditional cormorant fishing on the Oi River, is a cherished summer tradition in Kyoto. On August 16th, Kyoto’s Gozan Okuribi lights up the hills, with the Daimonji and Torii-gata bonfires visible from the Arashiyama area.

・Please note that the cruise may be canceled depending on river conditions, regardless of the weather.

・As only part of the bonfires may be visible from the boat, we recommend moving near Togetsukyo Bridge after disembarkation for a better view.
